How did you ended on this forum?: A friend whilst playing another game.

What interest you most about Embers Adrift?: I was involved in alpha testing a few times in SoL back in the day. I also was in contact with Tim and his youger brother (I think it was) and created some
artwok when they were devloping architectural styles. I also used pyrography to create a wooden map for them. I thought that that game had tanked and moved on. However if I am to understand? this is the rebrand? (which I am pleased to see)

So thought it would be a good idea to get back in touch and participate once again.

What interest you most about Embers Adrift? The need for group strategy and play reminds me of the best parts of gaming as a kid. I love that it is harder than current games of the genre. I wouldn’t mind it being harder but I’m a glutton for punishment with this stuff.

I’ve played pretty much every MMORPG that was come out since EQ in ‘99.

EQ, Vanguard (which this game reminds me a lot of), SWG and WoW was my favorite. I Alpha and Beta tested New World and sadly watched them ruin it in Beta for launch, so I’ll just pretend that never happened.

I normally play a melee DPS class, and I briefly Kaye’s as such during this last Alpha weekend.

I’m looking forward to the game and meeting and playing with all of you.

What interest you most about Embers Adrift? The D&D-esque feels, slow pace combat, back to the social/grouping aspect of MMORPG.

What interest you most about Embers Adrift?
- Entering a world that feels like an actual world (as opposed to being guided/forced to follow certain routes like "task quests").
- Experience lore and the world in first person (as opposed to get long texts every couple of minutes via "task quests"). No cutscenes, automatic teleportation along quest instances etc. Also lore/experiences to be shared from player to player.
- The zones: I haven't been to many of them, but Meadowlands really feels like a real mountain valley (as opposed to an "obvious game level with checkpoint walls").
- Players get to connect with other players (as opposed to connecting only with the game)

Was a few years ago... I was playing on the EQ Agnaar server (as a dwarf cleric obviously... barrel rool ftw) and I was picking mushrooms in Kaladim in preparation for Luclin going live so I could brew Kaladim Constitutionals for fun and profit; someone popped by and we had a chat, they told me they were working on a game and I should check it out (it was still SoL back then)... Never did make much money selling those potions. In theory they're a good idea, who wouldn't want +5 all resists and +5 Sta in a drink slot? Anywho, either I'm remembering that wrong or someone on the EQ2 emu forums/discord mentioned it. I've been lurking for a few years now, just signed up yesterday.

What interest you most about Embers Adrift?
Group game where team work matters with some time to socialize.

Favourite MMORPG: I don't know that I could pick just one. I started on launch day of EQ so that has a special place, loved the crafting in SWG, the pvp in Aion, just about everything in Vanguard. So many others over the years.
Favourite role/class in MMORPG: I suppose it would be tanking but I typically end up playing whatever is needed for the group composition of the people I play with.
Favourite activity in MMORPG: it depends on the MMORPG. RP/crafting/combat/character progression/etc. I enjoy all of it.
Horde or Alliance? Horde, always. Stupid sun elves ruined them.
Starwars or StarTrek? I enjoy both but I would have to go with Star Trek. How about Babylon 5? :p
