We have a lot of new and exciting additions to Embers Adrift to talk about this newsletter so make sure to take a peep at the “New Stuff” section below.

If this is the first time you’re hearing about Embers Adrift it is a challenge-driven MMORPG where players can experience over 1000 hours of entertainment on a single character. With quests that have multiple outcomes, hundreds of rare mobs and thousands of rare/quest items, and a steady stream of new content coming out on a steady schedule. It’s never been easier to find long-term entertainment at a great price. AND, you can try it for free. Check out the instructions at the end of the newsletter for details.

If you are interested in supporting indie dev studios you can support us by buying the game HERE for yourself or for a friend, and maintaining our optional subscription as time goes on. You can also purchase a month of subscription perks for your friends who may not have an active subscription. We also have a MERCH SHOP and a SOUNDTRACK if you'd like to support us in other ways.

As a small company trying to go against the grain by not focusing on maximum monetization of our player-base we want to say a huge thank you to our subscribers, your support is very much appreciated!
New Stuff:

In this patch we bring you 5 NEW SOLO LOOPS! You can now snack on those tasty loops as you wait for groups to form or to farm that tasty Ember Essence sauce. Here’s what’s new on the menu:
  1. Spinners Recluse ~ Level 16
  2. Derelict Sanctuary ~ Level 15
  3. Basilisk's Run ~ Level 21
  4. Cragscale Caverns ~ Level 46
  5. Arkhos' Lair ~ Level 48

We have added in the capability to inspect other players. Now you can right-click and inspect players to see their inventory and what juicy items they have that you might want to chase down. Don’t forget to ask them where to go hunting! If you prefer to keep your precious items secret and safe you can disable the ability for other players to be able to check out your gear.

Players who’ve purchased the game can now add a note to their LFG/LFM flags. Looking for a quest objective to a specific spot in a dungeon? Make a note. Streaming Embers and want to let players in game know? Make a note.

Corpse dragging just got a lot easier. You can now bind it to a key, AND if you’ve been given consent it’ll drag the nearest party member’s bag to your location. If your bag is nearby the process will drag your bag with priority. There is a 1 second cooldown for dragging bags.

More good news on the soloing front, 1 chevron difficulty and 2 chevron difficulty mobs have had their innate avoidance reduced. There are several other tidbits that make soloing a bit smoother as well and you can check those out in the patch notes linked below.

The beloved ‘stalker’ mobs have now been added to every overland zone. These risk/reward mobs are all 1 chevron difficulty (exception in Grizzled Peaks) and are a bit like mobile chests, if you kill one they may have some tasty loot for you. If you are near enough to them they may just start hunting you down.

We are just heating up as we tackle the tasks on our list for the year. We have a bunch of really cool stuff being developed so stay tuned!

You can find the patch notes HERE. Go check out Elloa’s trailer for this patch, too, and give it a like and subscribe.

As we iterate from patch to patch, adjusting current content and adding new content, we are asking our community to keep the feedback coming and to please be patient with us as we make adjustments. Thank you all!
Please check out our roadmap below and keep an eye on our progress as we knock stuff off the list.

Our friendly and helpful community is waiting for you! Come and see how different our community is compared to other communities you may have experienced.

Nice. Any clue on the general time-lines of the Short-Term Priority?
We've already got one new creature done and we are working on the Dryfoot Fortress which will likely feature this new creature. No hard timeline yet as game dev is unpredictable as we saw with mail being punted this month. New Encounter Tech kind of goes hand in hand with more boss encounters and we have started on that too. Waiting on a few things in the pipe for the Others quests and Epic Quests otherwise those are done.
