When the game comes to STEAM will there be FRESH?

I'm sure this is probably too much to keep up with but there really would not be a better time for it than the Steam release. There are pros and cons to doing it and to not doing it. A fresh server would be a good chance for an even playing field for the masses that hopefully show up. But I also realize the more loyal player base that has worked there way to 50 and the upper 40s doesn't want to be forced to reroll in order to play with the newer population. As an "enjoys the journey" player, a fresh server is just another opportunity to enjoy the game again...for me...so I was just curious...and hopeful.

A better game balancing would be to encourage new characters interact with other new characters.
That means wealth and items should not flow from veteran accounts to new accounts, to ensure a good sense of progression based on what you collectively achieve.
If that would be done, new players and veteran players with new accounts would share the early game experience in a similar way, helping each-other.
I assume the newly added Auction House does not take this into account even though I suggested it and reminded the developer about it when he asked for feedback.

Am I correct @Undone ?

Hmmm

I think enough of the veterans have a character in the low levels, I see no reason to force them to lose all the work. I for one will LOVE leveling my low characters with the new player base. So I see no need for a fresh server, tho if this game gets wildly popular which I hope maybe a 2nd server is in the future?

Unfortunately, this is not something we can currently afford. We chose to host our own physical server at a data center which was far more cost efficient than cloud hosting. However, the downside is that we cannot easily spin up a new server without some hefty costs. And we cannot betray the trust of our current and past customers by wiping everyone.

There have been no major changes to the Auction House since it was added, only minor tweaks/updates. As I recall your feedback was more geared towards an "NPC Broker" as opposed to Auction House feedback? That would likely have to be a newly developed system.
