Patching stops at 1% after I install

So I just installed the game and ran the patcher. I run the update and it starts downloading but then stops at 1%. I've tried to uninstall and try again and still ahve the same issue. I am running Windows 11 23H2. Every time it stops at the mscorlib.dll file.

Looks like you're missing the mscorlib.dll file "Microsoft Common Object Runtime" dll file. You can probably do a quick google search to find and install the file you need, and that should solve the problem for you.

its sitting in the directory C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319 - I will copy it into the embers drift path its looking for and see if that fixes it.

Edit: Ok so its also already in the Embers Adrift\Embers Adrift Launcher_Data\Managed folder so at this point I am stumped.
Edit 2: I took the other mscorlib.dll from the above Microsoft.net folder and added into the game folder where its loking but it would not open. I wonder if i need to register it. I'll try that... is the launcher 32 bit? Just curious because the .dll version I will need to copy in there.

Undone is the right person to ask but I think he has taken his first vacation in a couple of years, hence the delay in official response.

If the launcher is stopping on a specific file then it is typically one of the following:

• Antivirus / Antimalware stopping the download. Add the launcher's directory to the whitelist of any of those applications.
• Start the launcher in admin mode because windows permissions can be very cranky (right click shortcut and select "Run as Administrator").
• Check any firewall settings (pfsense, etc) or temporarily disable them to see if that is the issue.

I've done all the above previously. I run other patchers (M&M, WOW, battlenet, EQ, etc) and I have no issues with those.

The download just dies and I was never able to update games from thier patcher, so in order to do that I have to fire up my VPN everytime and connect to anywhere then I can get my updates. I tried that with the Embers Adrift patcher and it rolled on through the mscorlib.dll, so I dont know why but comcast blocks that connection.

That is so strange! Sounds like your ISP has some sort of weird firewall shenanigans going on Glad you got it sorted!
