Can't install on MacBook

I have M3 - Running Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348)

1st problem was the developer wasn't trusted. Gave proper permissions, launcher opened. Problem solved.
2nd problem is, launcher has been "checking local files" for an hour. Clearly this is not working. (screenshot attached)

More info:

- As a test I gave the launcher full permission to all files, folders and disk access.
- The launcher is not frozen as the background graphic is cycling through different images.

Any ideas?

I have Parallels on this MacBook. I am able to install the windows version on this MacBook just fine, which means the connection to the update server and the host is NOT the issue. There is something wrong with the Mac client.

I know this has likely been resolved on Discord but I've found this problem typically occurs when you try to run the launcher inside of the Downloads directory. MacOS does not like applications inside of that dir downloading additional data. Typically moving it to your Applications/Desktop/Documents folder will allow the launcher to start downloading files.
