Survival Mechanics

Been playing lots of survival games and I wish they would have those features in MMOs. Since this game is a lot about adventuring and exploration, very boots on the ground kind of world and surviving why not put some surviving features?

Hunger: This would make cooking more important. Most of the food you make is best done outside and you need food to keep your hunger from depleting. Hunger depletes very slowly in general but you use up calories for actions you make so you lose hunger while in dungeons and it's important to pack a lunch before you go down there. A high level chef can take food inside dungeons like mushrooms and make something for the party. Gives players something to consider before using certain actions that can burn too many calories and to prepare a sack of meat and bread before venturing into dungeons or to go exploring.

Temperature: Venturing deep into certain cold places deep within the earth or to walk through a scorching desert will introduce challenges from the cold and heat. Wearing the proper attire and armor would mitigate their effects, certain drinks, food and potions provide defenses against heat and cold. If you are reaching frost bitten status you can start slowing down and more vulnerable to attacks, too much heat will start damaging you internally. Regulating your body temperature could be a new element of danger with adventuring.

Adventuring/Explorer/Camping Profession: A new profession that focuses on surviving the elements. They can make a kind of resurrect/save campfire point in between dungeons. Bringing someone high on this skill is important. They can build tents and campfires that offer special benefits. They can make special torches you can wear and not have to carry to keep hands open for weapons and shields. Probably make torches that can be propped up around as well. Maybe they can built rafts to take players across lakes to places others can't get to. This can come to close to what you call "magic" in this game. It can find ways to combat temperature and hunger as well. Maybe they can craft certain ropes and grappling hooks that can create shortcuts across certain parts in the dungeon or offer a way out of the dungeon if you have to bail.

This would set the game quite apart from other MMOs but I hope to hear from the rest of you.
