I spent quite a few hours this weekend fighting Smugglers in SNH. I collected about 1000 bandages, and zero tar flasks. Either this is a bug, or it needs a re-think.
What level were those 1000 bandages? I imagine those were level 2 supporter reagents. Tar flasks however, are level 6 reagents and should not be expected to drop in SNH. The defender reagent in SNH is irritant.

in all likelihood they are lvl 2 bandages. It's thick bandages you are thinking of, and those are a very rare drop. I also concur that the other reagents are low drop rates as well
They're called 'smugglers tar flasks', so it's natural for players to assume that smugglers will drop them. It seems to me that, if you don't want tar flasks to drop in SNH, you shouldn't put smugglers in SNH. Doing so will just mean that you will get complaints like mine from players every week.
Edit: You could, of course, just call the smugglers in SNH by some other name.

Ooh damn, that's what you were after when we grouped together? I though you were after healing potion. I'm so sorry Kaerwin, if I had understood faster (my bad, really. You did said flask and not potion.) I would have suggested to hunt bear for the reagent instead.
