They don’t just accept any game for that platform. Otherwise it would be flooded with random “indie” games.

Is this the "my PC is in a server somewhere" thing? Never heard what happened to that.
GeForce now is a streaming service run by the largest GPU manufacturer nvidia

Live streaming the game every second every motion to your computer via internet

Nvidia is The company who made you world famous RTX 3080 / 4090 on your computer stuff like that

They provide all the hardware / server hosting / bandwidth while publisher just need to opt in and let nvidia host their game

So it’s literally a free lunch for small indie publisher like storm haven who have no money for ads or hiring streamer to play their games

GeForce now Literally feel like running the game on your own pc if you have a normal internet ,

When I made the same post I received same kind of mocking response in the Everquest 1 forum

On there I get it , since the remaining eq1 players are just bunch of middle age weirdo who can’t play the game without running auto bot team

And GeForce now cloud streaming service prevent them from doing that crap of cos they are all against it

And on here from you I can’t fathom what’s so funny

Nvidia provide server free hosting the game for the publisher and makes ads to let everyone know about the existence of this game

While all the players can run this game with any computer any OS as long as they have a web browser then they are able to run this game
Even on iPad if they wanted
Totally win win situation for both the players & publishers , what’s so funny for you to laugh at ?

Or are you on the side of those asshole publishers like EA games / 2 K games so you found this is funny ?

This would actually be an excellent fit, since input latency isn't an issue due to the high TTK and low APM.

Though I'd never try to play say an FPS game with an input latency of anything more than what like 20ms :) Even with fairly decent cable somewhat near a hub I've never seen lower than 50ms on any game.

I got mostly 30 ms on my side and tried fps like destiny 2 works great

All usa server would be 2xx ping to me anyway I have gotten used to it

GeForce now using RTX 2080 /3080 for rendering games makes the annual subscription so worth it , like 10 years of annual subscription wouldn’t be able to buy a legit GPU like 3090

if not for VR gaming ,I wouldn’t have bought a windows pc
( kudos for ember adrift having macOS native support otherwise some of my crazy die hard apple friend wouldn’t even try the game )

Funny , the lack of response from developer for literally free lunch from nvidia

They are weird like standing against steam & GeForce now anything that helps

Let’s just hope that pantheon : rise of the fallen can be out in two years lol

No, I don’t like the idea. Lots of games could be exposed, published, and/or available through other mediums, but I also get that this team wants to retain their current strategy and control without adding complexity. I’m almost sure they don’t want to manage another client medium or to beholden to another party for their product (yet?). Please consider the size of this Indie team, their priorities, their workload, and they’re expressed interest in these things.

I get what it is, it’s cloud streaming the game. GPU processing happens in the nVidia Cloud and the screen refresh, keyboard, mouse, and audio transmissions are all streamed back and forth over the internet to many different types of systems (instead of inside your home PC). It’s neat, I’ve used this type of service before. It may be a fit later, but this is SUPER low on my list of desires for the game. Dare I say non-existent, really. I’d much rather they focus on their existing core product and not stretch or divide their time towards this medium. I leave it up to them if they feel it will help their product - I won’t use it and I fear it won’t really help their numbers as it could potentially expose the game to a cruel world of reviews where a mature, slow-paced game like this may not quite match the existing user base of that platform.

it’s not like they just click a button and then it’s added to GeForce Now… it’s a whole process that requires contracts, backend changes, billing changes etc.

GeForce Now isn't going to reach as many gamers as you might think right now. There simply aren't that many gamers using the service to justify dedicating any portion of a small studio's profits to marketing on that platform, when they can spend that money on social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube or Twitch and reach a much wider audience. When a small studio goes to market their game, it's extremely important to get as much reach as they can by spending as little as they can. GeForce Now isn't going to provide them the best value for their dollar.
