October 12th; what's new?

MORE HOTFIXES! Patch will be coming at roughly 10am US Central time Friday October 14th - server's will only be down momentarily.
  • Fixed Annika not having a staff.
  • Added imbued metal armor recipes to the loot tables
  • Validating player storage on login - this will prevent the issue we encountered today where the UI was freaking out.
  • Fixed issues with the server selecting the wrong spawn point for your location in Central Veins. If it fails to find the "closest" spawn it will now select the proper default.
  • Possible fixes to some misc. guild display issues.
  • Minor grammatical quest dialog fixes.

More hot fixes?? MADNESS. Building out patches now - will deploy later tonight if all goes well. I will give you all a 5-10m heads up before the server needs to be rebooted.
  • Added "Hunting in Northreach" quest.
  • Added "Volumetrics Quality" dropdown with options of Low/Medium/High (default is Medium). This will allow you to adjust the quality of volumetric effects such as fog for increased visual fidelity at the cost of some performance. Low shows a lot of noise and is not nearly as pleasing to the eye as medium and high - but the option exists for those of you with lower end machines who want to squeeze as much performance as you can out of the game.
  • Fixed an issue where some flatworm buffs could stack (you can only have one of these buffs active at any given time!)
  • Fixing some exceptions
  • Adding some additional checks to player inventory to prevent odd items from showing up there. If you get a bugged item that you suspect you should not have please report it and relog or zone to allow the server to clean these items out.
  • Adjusted difficulty on 4 chevron mobs
  • Fixed stats on Field Research shirt

The frequency of hotfixes and updates is genuinely impressive, congratulations Dev Team!
We have had weekly patches for YEARS. Sometimes with insane amounts of content. I don’t see them stopping weekly hotfixes anytime soon.

Good to see especially as a live service can often throw you a curve ball or two!
