Lay of the Land ability broken?

I'm just curious if the movement ability the warden gets is broken? I was pretty excited to be close to 14 to have access to it only to be disappointed when I did to see it really does nothing.
I have combat movement bonuses that I can tell made a difference in the speed I move while in combat, but Lay of the Lands offers no such noticable change in speed.
Usually with movement abilities/buffs they are beneficial and useful. This one not so much lol. I'm not sure if its working as intended but as it sits at the moment there is no real difference in speed with or without.

And if it is working as intended is there a way to tweak it so it's actually viable and something worth using?

You move at (estimated) 4mph in the game. 10% means you now move at 4.4mph...so yeah, it's pretty useless.

I plan on trying to race against someone laterr today when the testing session opens up to see what difference I can tell.

Looking at a multitude of other games, movement increases are usually noticeable and quite useful. Allowing an advantage to transverse the landscape quicker and also being able to outrun things that might want to do one harm, therefore making that ability beneficial to have or use. In my opinion as it is now, just a 10 to movement increase then isn't enough then to make it an ability one would want to spec into to utilize.

10% is 10%, you and your group arrive 10% sooner.

I think the main differentiation here is we like to have these abilities improve as you level. But it is a fair point that most games with movement speed increases do not increase with level rather just start high and remain unchanged through the entirety of the game outside of large upgrades (normal to epic mount movement speed increases). I do have some flexibility here in regards to what changes over levels, but considering the ability is already at odds with the Warlord's movement aura it may end up being removed altogether.

If removed then, what if anything would take its place? I could see then if it poses problems with the warlords aura, is it possible to have it as a self only buff that would be beneficial to the warden. Something that wouldn't be overridden by the others aura if in a group. Just like where trying to cast a spell on someone who has a better spell already on them says it wont take hold. Therefore no problems caused between the two.

Self-only is a possibility. I tested this earlier after I posted and they stack. Which is OK if they are low movement values, but if they each become +20% or +30% stacking up to 40-60% could have some major issues in terms of animations, performance, etc. not even to mention how it could break gameplay. The warden as the Striker/Supporter I like the ability being group-based, perhaps both can give something like 15-20% but we just cap your total +movement to something like +25 so we don't run into any game-breaking situations of stacking movement abilities. The Warden one can last longer as it increases in levels instead of getting faster so the amount can be initially higher.
