Running faster than a Bear Or Deer, This makes No sense . I realize that this saves Players live But it most Certainly Detracts from the Fear of of these animals And this Fear makes the Game More Realistic. For me If I stumble into a bear Den I'd Most Definitely be Over-Taken And I would expect to DIE. Think of Final Fantasy Xi at release and you'll know what i mean,.If you stumbled into a group of gobs You were Dead No questions asked .

You can experience that in real life, but only once ;). You really want impossible way to evade solo mobs?? All class with CC, will then have an advantage over everyone else. At the end, nobody will play other class, cause they won't be able to simply gather or solo play. (We've been through this already) Also, if you go into the Bear den in the first Area, I guarantee you won't come back alive if you're not careful. If you stumble on a group of Bears that are aggressive, you will be dead no question asked, unless you're a Marshall with HALT or maybe @wyatt_berry_earp !!

Having to fight every single thing that aggros you doesn't sound like it would be very fun if you're in a hurry.

I hear what you're saying and i concur, I just thought it a little odd that at lvl 3 I was able to meander up to the Mouth of the Bears Den and back to safety without accuring any dmg at all.

You make an interesting point. Some food for thought...

1. Increasing mob speed so you can't outrun <faster mob(s)> might work IF the aggro (LoS) range, "calling" of additional mobs (adds), and how often they walk around (idle meandering) were all reduced. Right now a bear can see players from a solid distance, are very mobile when idle (so they'll run into you, quickly), and persist in a chase for a long distance. Also, when standing your ground, it's easy to get overwhelmed. If you think outrunning them is unfair, try standing and fighting them in the NW of Newhaven - at night.

2. Leave mob speed “as is” so that you can outrun <faster mob(s)>. This is instantly familiar (forgivable) and gives players an "out". The issue, like you said, is realism (in some sense). Also, quests that only require players to get close to an objective can be completed, solo. They’d just empty their bag, go for the run, get the update - if they die, forfeit the bag.
