Gray Con Mobs

Now that I'm higher level, I came back to North Newhaven to get over to Dryfoot. While running down the path, I encountered spiders on the way to Dryfoot. These spiders conned Gray to me. They agroed. Then they proceeded to beat the crap out of me like I was the same level as them. I don't have an issue with them agroing, but they certainly shouldn't be able to beat me down like I'm a lvl 1 toon with more HP. If my level is taken into consideration when attacking high level mobs, then a mob's level should be considered as well when attacking me.

Mobs will remain dangerous even when Gray especially if fighting multiple or trying to solo a 3 chevron for example. There is a consideration in their damage for level difference, and armor and damage reduction specifically makes fighting lower level stuff a lot easier (you should absorb much more of their damage). There are some caveats to this, like with spider poison which bypasses armor and can stack. So 2 gray con spiders with poison might be much more challenging than say 2 gray con boars.

I frankly like this, I would much rather a world where we couldn't mindlessly run about.
I went back to S New Haven to help a friend level up. I was 13. Mobs didn't seem to die any quicker and I took what seemed to be the same amount of damage. I don't think that's right. If I'm much more powerful, they should die quicker and not do damage. I can't fight a red and do damage. Same applies in reverse.

It seems like things should scale as we level. Maybe I'm wrong. Does a 1^ gray (to the level 15 player) have the same agro radius for a level 15 player as for a level 1 player?

Mobs have sensors based on their NPC profile that determines how well they can see, hear, etc - all of which are independent of the player's level.

OK got it. I just figured they'd know fear when they see my gleaming recently crafted high level armor and my confident demeanor. :cool: Cheers
