Suggestion: Either lower the mod of newbie starting bandages or increase the mod of early level mob dropped bandages.
They are both mod 14. The next best crafted bandages are mod 18. So either make the mob dropped bandages mod 16 or lower the newbie beginner bandages to mod 12....
