This month is a short one so we want to get these updates out early for testing. Primary testing focus areas:
Changelog:
- New Unity version (updated minor revision): any performance or other issues that are not present on live? I don't expect many issues here.
- Updated vegetation shaders: any weirdness with trees/bushes/grass/etc? Missing alpha clips?
- Updated currency picker: does it work as expected? Is it better?
- Auction House: thoughts on implementation, presentation, and options presented?
Changelog:
- Updated Unity 2022 to the latest minor revision. Unity 6 upgrade is in progress.
- Updated all vegetation shaders. These should yield some performance improvements.
- Revamp of the currency picker dialog interactivity. It should be far less of a pain to use in every sense of the word.
- Slight increase to some legendary equipment stats
- Changed the spec bonuses for:
- Knight - Block
- Marshal - Parry
- Juggernaut - Damage
- Warlord - Haste
- Duelist spec bonus increased.
- Renamed the "Exposure Compensation" slider to "Night Brightness". It now works more intuitively in that moving it to the right means brighter, while moving it left means darker.
- Added tab navigation to the macro edit dialog.
- Revamped disabled overlays on abilities so that ones that trigger combat on execution no longer show as disabled until you are in combat stance. They will now only show as disabled if they have an invalid target, otherwise they show the red overlay for distance/angle not being met.
- Replaced the ellipsis on bank deposit/withdraw with the edit currency button (the one from Mail)
- Auction House:
- 2 bulletin boards have been added to Newhaven City (near the banks) which when interacted with will bring up the new Auction House system. Visuals are pending and may change dependent on how much of the art team's time we get this month.
- You can post an item for sale as an auction, a buy it now, or both.
- Cost to post is currently the same as the cost to mail that item. Note that this fee is never refunded.
- Non-subscribers can list their items for 2 days, while subscribers can list them for 5. The cost to post is the same.
- Non-subscribers may have a maximum of 5 items listed per account. Subscribers can have a maximum of 10. As a reminder, this is per account, not character (alts included!).
- Auctions can be cancelled via a right click --> cancel context menu. You will not be refunded the listing fee.
- When an auction is won, the auction house will take 10% of the profit for non-subscribers, or 5% for subscribers.
- All item transfers (except for buy-it-now) are handled via the mail system. Buy-it-now will put the item directly into your inventory.
- Any changes to listings (items added, removed, bids updated, etc) will be updated in real time while the Auction House UI is open.
- Current UI is a WIP and needs some additional love (feedback welcome). Currently issues/missing/todo:
- Audio when bidding/etc
- Confirmation Dialogs for everything.
- You can currently bid or buy your own auctions, this will not be the case when it rolls to live and is for testing purposes only.
- It is not 100% clear which auctions are yours vs. which you are winning, vs none. Indicators exist but may not be immediately obvious and are being improved.
