Hello. This is the new and current Defender and Subclasses/Specialization Abilities chart. For those interested or curious about Defenders and what their abilities are compared to the other classes (Strikers & Supporters). Will try to update any newer info when available. If you want info on the older version, let me know.

I don't understand why Juggernaut skills such as breach mention slashing damage? I use a maul on my Jugg and this is crushing/bludgeoning damage.
I think the damages of the abilities should be normalized and follow the weapon type the character is currently using.

Hmm it should be using whatever your weapon damage type is.

Hello. Added the new and current Defender class and subclasses/specialization abilities, for those interested, or curious about the Defender class and subclasses/specialization (Juggernaut, Knight, Marshal). If you want the older version info, let me know. Will update any newer version when its available.

Side note, seems with each new test builds, there are more and more abilities skills added for all the classes and subclasses. Am wondering if down the road, will we have more slots in our hot bar/hotkey added? Currently we have six available slots to use for our hot bar/hotkey abilities to choose from. As our character(s) advances in levels, we will have to choose which abilities to use; when we explore, when we are in a dungeon, when we solo, when we are just gathering resources, or when we are in a group (with familiar players or random players). Which abilities will you choose?

Hello. Was wondering if someday the Defender class will get some sort of healing ability. In this case it most likely and ideally be the Knight. The Striker/Warden has limited healing. The Supporter, well they are the healing class. The Defender does not seem to have any sort of healing. If they were to, maybe the Knight class. Like in D&D, AD&D, Pathfinder, etc, the Paladin, Lay on Hands. Something like that but limited like the Warden ability. Would that be something foreseeable later in the game or part of an expansion?

As for another class (like most MMORPG) they add that later in the game, mostly in one of their expansion. So not going to touch that.

I could see possibly bandages being implemented that every class could use. Give the ability to heal yourself up other than potions.

In the older version, everyone could heal someone or self. It was a skill back then. Now, its just Supporters and for none Supporter class, only the Striker Warden. Yeah potions are nice, but the cool down is pretty steep. If the Defender were to get a healing ability, I would have to go with the Knight. Who knows.

Maybe then they could possibly implement the older version in as well so there's another option that could be used to heal if the class isnt a supporter class?
I do know the health regen is extremely slow, even with regen stats on gear and food buffs it still goes up very very slowly when out of combat.

Don't think they want anything to do with the old system/world, leave it at that lol. Right now, Food buffs and Drink (Tea) are the main sources of regeneration on health and stamina. Though without sidetracking this topic for crafting or such. Maybe have the Defender Knight have some sort of ability to group heal instead of self or other heal. Like the Warlord Hymen, but something for the Knight, only +1 to heal instead of what the Warlord does. Personally, I would have the ability as a Knight to heal others and or self, limited. But these are all just talks and discussion.

Thoughts and ideas becomes tangible eventually, even if it came from a Dream - Ravenwolf S.

I can see this being a slippery slope. We'll have every class wanting something from the other classes.

Yeah lol. Folks will disagree here. but I think the Supporter class, Sentinel is like the Defender class but more healing (maybe its just the name I am referring to lol, being Sentinel. Th Duelist (kind of) is like the Striker class, Warden (damage over time) DoT and the Striker class, Warden is like the Sentinel (heal over time) HoT. Bad comparison lol. I know some games where the warrior/fighter type eventually gives up their movement (walk/run) to compensate for the heavy armor they wear, they end up being slow, but very effective in combat. Just cant keep up with the group while out exploring lol.

Have not played Juggernaut fully or much to understand inside or have better info on it to elaborate. Marshal mostly, Knights, here and there. I may try Knight next test build. Hopefully some kind of healing for the Defenders would be nice, even if its watered down.

I think the warlord has a better chance of getting their movement speed buff back than defenders getting healing. And I'm pretty sure the Warlord will never see the movement buff again

Hello. It dawned on me the other week, that Defender, Knight has ability to self heal, Inner Fire. Though its a small amount. Its still some sort of healing ability. No relation to EQ Shaman, Inner Fire (a lot of games out there seems to have the name Inner Fire. From table top, home brew, to MMORPG, RPG, solo games, etc.,).

I have that ability as well, usually gained after eating spicy foods. :D
