So I got this idea while I was roleplaying a scholar/curator on Skyrim and being a monk in Kingdom Come Deliverance. What if there was a scholar class in this game as the closest thing to a caster? A scholar would dabble in books, they're focused on uncovering the secrets of the ruins. They feel...
Could introduce traps and trapped chests. They can do big damage to everyone that stands near it. Same with chests. Supporter can have means to disable traps and Striker has means to disable trapped chests and open locked chests. Some can give a poison that lasts as long as 15 minutes or longer...
I don't mind the slow leveling. I'm at the impression that the content should be the stuff you do on the way to max level instead of getting to max level and doing anything. Almost 95% of MMOs just focus on the content after max level. They're all the same thing and it's a problem.
The best...
Since lots of fights will be done in the dark, it might be interesting to put an animation and sound associated with it to let you know what the enemy is going to do to prepare for it without even looking.
Would be interesting if the four seasons cycle throughout the game and special rare spawns and materials are only found during those seasons. The areas you've seen over and over will look different every new season which can confuse the player making them re-wire their brains on where they are...
Depending on where you get knocked out the punishments could be different. Here's certain examples.
Corrupt City and King: You get attacked by thugs there or city guards that are trying to stiff you. If you get defeated instead of dying you're naked in a prison mine. You've been arrested and...
I think it's interesting to encourage grouping/teaming through hard to pass content. But what if there was more than just that what if your character had a skill to become a better team player? So they can have a separate level and exp for being in teams. The more damage you do, more damage you...
Would be nice to have random caves you find across the landscape for exploration that you can solo or go in with a 2 man cell. You just walking around the country and you see a cave covered in ferns, curious you go in and find treasure in there or a curious skeleton with a sword stuck in it...
Been playing lots of survival games and I wish they would have those features in MMOs. Since this game is a lot about adventuring and exploration, very boots on the ground kind of world and surviving why not put some surviving features?
Hunger: This would make cooking more important. Most of...
The thing is it's not a solo game. They advertise as keeping grouping as the main focus. Solo play is an afterthought. If you do solo pay you should do content you can handle alone that wouldn't match what group play could do. The small loopholes for soloing is crafting.
I honestly think the strongest duo party would be dps and support and that goes for most games really. Tanks are specifically useful in groups but in a duo not so much. DPS could put out enough damage to hold threat and eliminate enemies faster while support can keep them going. Games like DCUO...
You could say they were left "in the dark."
I mean I Just like an adventure game where you don't plan anything, you go out there make mistakes, stumble upon stuff.
I mean there's a lot of games that are hard but people still play them and enjoy them. Just like Dark Souls will have it's kind of players other players wouldn't like it for how brutally hard it is. I don't like to say "go play another game then," I just think there is a larger selection of...
Yeah the game visuals were better than other MMOs run by bigger companies. Went up and beyond the indie level.
To be honest I actually liked how dark it was. Only certain players would be able to track down or memorize their way around and others might get lost. And if you get lost you can...
SWTOR has probably the best leveling/grinding in MMORPGs because it's enjoyable going through the story and choices. When a MMORPG makes you forget what level you are or eyeing the XP bar like a maniac it's a good MMORPG.
Lot of gaming developers and sadly players are so affixed on what graphical technology is used, how many animation frames there are. Forgetting the true spirit of gaming or maybe the exploration aspects.
